Guinea Piggy Matching is a tile-matching game that features an adorable guinea pig theme. The player must clear levels of tiles by using match-3 and sorting actions. Their main goal is to earn enough puzzle pieces to reveal and unlock beautiful photos of guinea pigs. They also attempt to earn various rewards.
Each level displays a painted outdoor backdrop with layers of tiles. The tile icons relate to the feeding and care of guinea pigs. The images include fruits, vegetables, wildflowers and other plants, pet bowls, water bottles and habitats.
The player can remove any uncovered tile from the field, but their selections transfer to empty slots on a horizontal tray. They must form sets of three matching tiles to prompt the game to permanently remove all tiles from the screen. If they fill the seven slots without forming a set, they lose the level.
The game provides the player with the most points when they complete matches in a streak. They can track the streak multiplier in the upper-center area next to their score. They can improve their chances of a streak by using booster-style power-up buttons below the tray that include an undo back arrow button and a random set button.
Guinea Piggy Matching rewards the player with coins and a golden puzzle piece after they complete each level. The player uses their coins to buy power-ups during match-3 play. They use the puzzle piece to break an equivalent clay one that covers a guinea pig photo. After they progress through a specific number of levels, the game also rewards them with treasure chests and new backdrops.
